Holbox is a 26-mile-long hippy-chic island, just 40 miles north of Cancun, which is quickly catching the attention of trending travelers worldwide.

Located on the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo, where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean, the island is surrounded by turquoise blue waters and white sand beaches.

A grid of narrow, sandy streets connects the entire island, from the ferry dock, the beach and the bustling city square. There are only a couple of ATMs, there are no paved roads, basically there are no cars, so all you see is tourists and locals dressed in swimsuits, walking, cycling or in yellow golf carts that work like equipment of taxis on the island.
